A word from the President/CEO:
I hope all is going well for you as we approach the end of 2011.
Executive Search has taken an interesting turn. The fourth and first quarters are usually our best and this quarter things have slowed up – most unusual. While the Association of Executive Search Consultants conducts their annual survey of hundreds of search firms and client companies, my mini-survey of 6 firms shows the slow down seems to be across the board in both industry and functional areas. From our first-hand observations and client contacts, many companies are either not commencing searches they had pre-determined to start and/or they are putting a “hold” on open searches. In some cases there is no information provided (even among divisions within a firm) as to why the searches are being placed on hold. This too is unusual.
We will advise you of the results of the Association of Executive Search Consultants’ survey in the New Year.
With that said, we had an excellent year and hope that your circumstances have also proven to be positive this year.
